Full marks to Kickstart pupils
Kickstart Chief Executive Adrian Ball presented 15 young pupils with various certificates on Wednesday 18th July for completing a range of motor vehicle maintenance courses.
Pupils were presented with their certificates in a variety of courses including OCM level 1, motor vehicle with personal development, OCM Level 2, and welding, attending every day for twelve weeks.
‘All these young people have overcome difficult personal circumstances to complete these courses’ commented Adrian, ‘they should be really proud of themselves, and we hope they decide to either continue with another one of our courses, or go on to bigger and better things.’
‘I have just completed OCM level 2, and really enjoyed it, working on the cars was the best part, changing tyres and break pads, as well as completing a portfolio. I am going to come back and do the welding course, and hope to be a mechanic.’ added Jason Cohla aged 16
Kickstart aims to address young people, social inclusion and crime through intensive training and community safety initiatives.
Currently three courses are offered, OCM Level 1, 2 and Welding, each course lasts twelve weeks.
