Highway to Opportunities are hosting a drop in event this Friday 24th October for residents that haven’t yet got online in aid of ‘Get Online Day’
The drop in takes place at H2O’s headquarters, Brunswick House, Union Street and starts at 9.30am.
Learndirect Coordinator Louise day explains ‘These days you can do almost everything online, banking, booking holidays, food shopping and even catching up with old friends through sites like friends reunited. If you know what you’re doing you can save time and money.’
‘It can be quite daunting using the internet if you haven’t used it before, but that’s what Get Online Day is all about. We’ll have staff on hand all day to help you, and everyone that attends will be given a free e mail account which they can take away with them.’
Those attending will also be given free branded goodies and be entered into a prize draw to win a Nintendo DS.
