Rochdale’s young people offered help to ‘Drivesafe’ Young people are being given the chance to find out more about their cars by participating in a free session run by the Kickstart Project in Middleton.
The sessions are for anyone aged 16-25, living in the Rochdale area with an interest to know more about cars and using them safely Kickstart Director Adrian Ball said; ‘This is a great opportunity for anyone about to start driving, or wanting to know more about how their car works. The sessions take place at our modern training workshop in Middleton town centre and will include the “Wrecked” interactive safety awareness session, and then a practical session on car maintenance. We’ll be showing people what they should look for when buying a used car, how to keep your car road worthy, and how to carry out basic checks under the bonnet.’ The programme has been funded by the Greater Manchester Casualty Reduction Partnership – “Drivesafe”.
Regular courses take place in the evenings and at weekend. For more information, or to book your place contact Kickstart on 0161 6547229
