Positive Steps Oldham

Volunteering and Employer Links

Volunteering

Volunteers are an important resource to PSO. They make a vital contribution to helping us achieve our aims and objectives by complementing and adding value to the work of paid employees. Our intention is to encourage, develop and support volunteer involvement in our work and regard volunteers as significant stakeholders.

Experience has shown that volunteering benefits both volunteers and those with whom they work.

We hope that volunteers will enjoy their involvement and gain from it in terms of their own personal objectives. Positive Steps Oldham believes that the relationship with volunteers is one of mutual responsibility and commitment.

We offer a variety of volunteering opportunities including:

  • Volunteering in the Youth Inclusion Projects around the borough
  • Volunteering with young offenders
  • Volunteering with young people and adults in a variety of settings in and around Oldham
  • Volunteering in areas of Corporate Support such as Finance, Administration, Human Resources, IT

We are keen to hear from anyone who has time to spare and who shares an interest in our work
